Hall History
Since 1993 the Hall's have lived and served in leadership in the former Soviet
Union. They founded Latvia Bible College Ministry Center and participated in
the planting of many churches throughout the country of Latvia.
The first years spent as missionaries were valuable in language
acquisition, cultural understanding, powerful preaching, Biblical teaching and
relationship building amongst the Russian church.

Terence and Jill were called to
serve God in the former Soviet
Union while pastoring at Post
Falls Assembly of God church in
beautiful northern Idaho. During
a missions service, both Terence
& Jill felt the strong and
unmistakable voice of the Holy Spirit speaking, even though neither
voiced their impression to each other until hours later.
Terence had traveled in over 40 countries prior to marriage and he had fully
expected that his traveling days were over. Now the urgency to take the Hope
of Jesus' love to the former Soviet Union was irresistable.
Young Alex was only two years old
when the family bid farewell to a loving and thriving church pastorate and
began traveling full time. For 18 months they visited churches and told of
God's heart to see Russian people receive the opportunity to accept the
forgiveness of Jesus.
Then, when Alex was 3 and Valerija was 5, the young family boarded an
Aeroflot jet in Chicago. A grueling 18 hours later, after an eye-
opening flight with a Russian soccer team, they arrived in Moscow, Russia.
At that time, Jill had never been outside the continental
USA and speaking the Russian language was only a dream. After 2 months
in Moscow studying Russian, they traveled one more time: boarding a
train headed northwest. After all night and multiple document checks by border officials, the train had
reached the end of the line! They were in the country of Latvija, a land which
had been occupied by the Soviets for over 40 years and was now it's own
republic. That was 16 years ago--in 1993!

The Hall's formed strong relationships with the believer's in Latvija and served
alongside them for two full terms of missionary service. They lived in Latvija
for four years, then lived one year in the USA and repeated that cycle. Then,
after ten years, instead of returning to Latvija, they moved east, and settled in
the huge metropolis of Moscow, Russia.
Now, the Hall's travel throughout Western Russia, bringing Biblical and
pragmatic teaching and leadership training to pastor's and church leaders.
The heart of their ministry is in serving their Russian brothers and sisters and
they are willing to go to the hard-to-reach places where many don't want to
go.
They view it a privilege to serve God in Russia and are grateful for the
opportunity to live and work there at such an exciting time.
